Homeless Challenge: Chapter 2

Raven rummaged through the Castor’s trash can, finding some scrap, a rare seed, and a flourite gem. She now has $2,527 to her name.



Raven noticed the lights on in the Castor home, and rang the doorbell. Beverly Castor answered the door and invited Raven inside. Raven then explained her predicament to Beverly, and asked that Beverly help her out, by giving her a little money. Beverly turned her down, turns out Mrs. Beverly Castor is a snob (a fact our lovely Raven has not become aware of yet). “Well, could you at least give me a warm meal?”, Raven asked Beverly.



Beverly agreed to give her a warm meal, but she would only allow Raven to eat a microwave meal, while the family enjoyed some lovely waffles. Raven didn’t care though, she was hungry and was not about to turn down a warm meal.



After being disrupted from her bath, Raven learned Beverly was a snob, so she continually praised and flattered Beverly until they became friends. Then she finally was able to finish her bath.



On Wednesday, Raven participated in the Chess tournament and played against her mother, Jeanna Boyce. “How are you making it, with your homeless challenge dear?”, Jeanna asked her daughter. “It’s a challenge alright Mama, but I’m doing fine”, she answered her mother. “Well, if you ever need any help, just let us know, we’ll be glad to help out”, her mother told her. “Thank you Mama, I know you will, I’m just trying to accomplish this on my own, is all”.



Raven’s father, Bronson Boyce, soon showed up to watch his favorite two girls in the world, as they played chess. Raven won the game between her mother, hugged her parents goodbye, and moved onto the next player….



which was Leilani Periera (a randomized sim of mine). Raven lost to Leilani and didn’t win a thing that night, but she enjoyed herself tremendously.



Before heading home, she caught two ladybugs, and enjoyed a hot dog that someone left on the picnic table.



Once home, Raven pulled her hair up and tended her tiny garden, then she went rummaging, in Oliver Greenwood’s trash, where she found nothing but old newspapers and trash.



The next morning Raven sold the ladybugs to the Science Center for $27, and then headed to the gym, for a quick shower.



A little later, Raven went to visit her good friend Beverly, and decided to try her hand at getting some money from her. Beverly gave Raven $8. (Oh come on, Bev, you’re loaded and that’s all you can give to a good friend! A total stranger gave her $10 last chapter.)



Raven figured since she and Bev were good friends, it was okay to sleep in one of her nice warm beds. WRONG!!! Mrs. Beverly Castor was not going to have a homeless girl sleeping in one of her beds, so she turned the radio on, so it would wake up Raven. “Ugghh!!! Who turned on the radio???” Raven turned it off, and went back to bed.



And, what did the old hag do, she turned the flipping radio on again, and walked out of the room!!



So, off Raven went, to rummage through their trash, and then went home to her park bench to sleep. At least no one would wake her up here. After finding a candle, a teddy bear, a nugget of iron, and some scrap in the Castor’s trash, Raven had $2,707.



After waking up and tending her garden, Raven decided to visit the Elam home again. There she was able to mooch $10 from Wilbert Elam, but couldn’t get any from his friend, Erick Perryman (another randomized sim of mine).



Raven then decided to flirt with Erick, which seemed to rub him the wrong way. Erick yelled at Raven then went home.

 

*Although I do control what Raven does, for the most part, I tend to leave her alone sometimes, to see what she does next, and this was one of those times :)*



Raven then went to take a bath, but was interrupted by teen Wilbert walking in on her, which embarrassed her so bad that she started crying.



Well, at least she got a good nap in, on the Elam’s warm & comfy couch.
